Description of Classes
Hatha Yoga class taught by Elisabeth Michielsen
Elisabeth’s style of teaching is an eclectic approach to hatha
yoga that involves using breath, sound, yoga postures,
meditation, chanting and bodyrolling techniques. The class will
include combining movement with breath in order to release
stress, develop flexibility, muscle tone and deep relaxation. It
is gentle and rejuvenating at the same time.
Gentle Beginner Level
This gentle beginner class stays at an easy gentle level
throughout the session. It is appropriate for those with limited
mobility, for seniors, or those who wish to be part of a very
gentle class. Part of the class is done in chairs.
Beginner Level
Beginner Level is appropriate for people who are doing yoga for
the first time or for those who wish to start at an easy level.
This class starts at any easy beginner level and over the 10
week session progresses to more advanced poses.
Beginner/Intermediate Level
This class will be at a fairly easy Intermediate Level. I will
accept students who are at a Beginner Level and are already
fairly physically active, or have done some yoga before. The
class is also appropriate for those who have done a Beginner
session with me before or those who have other previous yoga
experience. I will teach to the level of ability in the class.
Intermediate Level
Intermediate classes are appropriate for those who have
completed a beginner session with me and for those who have
previous yoga experience.
